Where Is the Best Place to Advertise My Business?

There are numerous platforms where you can sell a business. Here, we compare the largest providers and outline their advantages and disadvantages.

Nexxt-change

Nexxt-change is a government-backed project with very broad reach. It is recommended by Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IHKs) as well as Chambers of Crafts, which is why it has the highest number of listings.
However, it should be noted that listings can only be created through a regional partner. Therefore, owners intending to sell cannot remain completely anonymous.
Furthermore, communication takes place via email, which also limits anonymity.

Deutsche Unternehmensbörse (DUB)

Deutsche Unternehmensbörse is a private platform with a very large selection of businesses. Its reach is somewhat smaller than that of Nexxt-change; however, Deutsche Unternehmensbörse is clearly the market leader and has a large number of listings.
Since DUB charges fees, it tends to cater more to the sale of larger businesses.

60+ Other Business Exchanges

In fact, there are over 60 different business exchanges in Germany. These range from exchanges run by individual M&A advisors to highly specialized platforms for certain industries.
This naturally leads to significant opacity for potential buyers. The market is very fragmented and confusing. That is why we at viaductus have developed the meta search for business sales.
